Diana, Marmorbüste nach Jean-Antoine Houdon (1741-1828)


The marble bust depicts the goddess of Diana, a same size marble copy (without socle) of the original marble bust by Jean-Antoine Houdon (1741-1828) from 1778. The original belongs to the National Gallery of Art Washington (1957.1.1). The bust rests on a circular spreading white polished marble socle. The bust is without the crescent moon crown and kept in an unpolished condition.
