Elegantes Louis-XV-Tischchen, sog. „table á chiffonière“, Frankreich, ca. 1760

A Louis XV gilt-bronze mounted kingwood and amaranth marquetry centre table, a so called 'table chiffonière', with a marquetry shaped top above three serpentine drawers, with a shaped apron and canted corners, on slender cabriole legs with gilt-bronze sabots. The sides and back similarly veneered to the top. A related item with an added flower marquetry and stamped Nicolas Petit (1732-1791, maitre 1761) was auctioned at Christies this year.
