Exzellenter Louis-XVI-Kronleuchter, Frankreich/Baccarat, 2. Hälfte 19. Jh.

A Louis XVI style gilt-bronze and cut-glass twelve-light chandelier by La Compagnie des Cristalleries de Baccarat. The central gilt-bronze and cut-glass baluster stem issuing twelve acanthus scrolling candle arms. The chandelier is hung all over with the finest cut-crystal drop-pendants and beads and terminates in a ball finial. Stamped ‘BACCARAT’ on each of the twelve glass bobeches drip pans. Baccarat is the world’s leading manufacturer of crystalware. Founded in 1764 under the patronage of Louis XV as Renault et Compagnie, the firm became known as the Compagnie des Cristalleries de Baccarat during the 19th century.
