Feuervergoldete Mahagonievitrine, Frankreich, um 1850/70


The pedestal display cabinet mounted with finely chased ormolu casts showing on the top ribbon tight swags of drapery, on the side flower heads with stylized foliage, on the bottom a lozenge framed mask, lotus leave cast banding and other leave cast banding of high quality. The cabinet rests on square tapering legs in gilt bronze sabots. The interior is newly upholstered in antique wall paper and fitted with two new glass shelves.
