Großer vergoldeter Louis XVI Prunkspiegel, Venedig, 2. Hälfte 18. Jh.


A large and excellently carved and gilded mirror frame with a shaped arched plate within a moulded frame and with a mirrored border. The elaborate pierced cresting carved with a central vase of flowers, flanked by c-scrolls, foliate and distinguished ropes with tassels, on boldly scrolled feet. The distinct pierced carving of high craftmanship. The mirror frame is silvered with a tinted varnish applied to simulate gilding.
