Kleiner Louis-XVI-Stil Kronleuchter, sog. “ Sac à Perles“, 19. Jh.

A small 19th century French cut-crystal chandelier, a so called 'sac à perles' with a leave cast corona hung with facetted drops and chains, with a central ring cast with scrolling leaves around a finely chiseled band, surmounted by upright leaves and a 'trophy of love': arrows in a quiver are arranged in diagonal composition with a hymeneal torch (named after Hymen, the Greek goddess of marriage) and bound by a ribbon bow. Chains from the central tier terminate in a cut-glass font and ball finial. With three interior lights, wired for electricity.
