Paar feuervergoldeter Kandelaber, Frankreich, um 1810


A pair of exquisetly ormolu gilded five-light candelabrum, each with a classical female figure in flowing drapery holding aloft a classical urn, issuing cornucopiae-form branches with foliate and removable nozzles. The classical figures standing on a stepped pedestal of cut crystal, possible baccara crystal and gilt bronze, on a square plinth with moulded edges of anthemion. Both candelabra stamped GD.

CONDITION: Excellent. In cleaned condition, some very small areas of rubbing and oxidation.
