Schöner Empire-Stil Korb-Kronleuchter mit Bacchus-Köpfen, Frankreich, 2. Hälfte 19. Jh.

A late 19th century French gilt bronze and cut-crystal basket chandelier with an anthemion cast corona featuring further vine leaves alternating with masks of bacchus, hang with chains of crystal drops, with a central ring repeating the vine and mask design and issuing eight foliate candle branches, the whole hang with facetted drops, terminating in cut-glass font and gilt bronze finial. This chandelier is a refined and charming statement in whatever room it joins. Restored and prepared for electric candles.
